The Ohio Meat Goat Association (OMGA) will award $500 scholarships to junior youth that are active in the Ohio Meat Goat Association’s Junior ABGA shows. (This does not include the Wether Series shows). These scholarships will be given yearly to graduating high school seniors who meet the OMGA requirements.

Guidelines of the OMGA Scholarship: The OMGA Board of Directors will review all applications. If the scholarship funds grow higher, the OMGA Board of Directors have the power to raise the scholarship amount, and/or increase the number of students allowed to receive a scholarship. This decision is based solely on the amount of funds available during the year in question. If no awards are given in a year, the funds roll over into the next year. All decisions made by the OMGA Board of Directors will be final and they have the right to deny any applications.

Purpose: The purpose of the scholarship is to support OMGA youth that have participated in OMGA junior shows, seminars, and other OMGA sponsored events. The OMGA scholarship is one way to help young people succeed through higher education, and reward them for their hard work and dedication to the Boer goat industry.
